Geography:

The location of Whitton Farms is quite special and rich with history.  Whitton Farms is a mere 8 miles from Johnny Cash’s boyhood home in Dyess, Arkansas. Another 5 miles up Hwy 118 will lead you to the historical Southern Tenant Farmers Union Museum, which was the first union in the 1930s open to all races. If bird watching is your thing, then you’ll be happy to know that just 10 miles from the farm is the Wapponocca Wildlife Refuge. The WWR provides habitat for migrating & wintering waterfowl.  The refuge is located just 4 miles west of the Mississippi River.

Travelers from all over the world come to visit these 3 remarkable historical destinations, and sometimes they make their way to Whitton Farms too! If you are interested in visiting Whitton Farms, please email us for more information whittonfarms@live.com.  Our on- site farm-stand opens mid June!
